Some months back, a mysterious man sent obscene sms to Padmapriya's cell phone. She filed a case about this in the Kottayam court. Following this, a teacher named Vinod Kumar from Palakkad was arrested.
The court requested personal appearance by Padmapriya and she accordingly turned up at court, with her face covered with a dupatta. Some people recognized her anyway and on their cheerful cries, a huge crowd gathered.
Unable to stand the mobbing and commotion, she scolded them in English. (She's an MBA!). The educated Malayalis in the crowd scolded her in retaliation and this vocal repartee went on for an hour.
